How to Get Pantry Assistance

To our neighbors in the Hudson City School District, we are here to serve you with dignity and grace. Our new team of volunteers strive to provide a safe and friendly atmosphere where you can take from our shelves the grocery items that you need.

We are not a grocery store, but by providing general staple items available from the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank, our hope is to supplement your grocery list with what you choose.

We are a full CHOICE Pantry. Neighbors are encouraged to take what they know they need and can use.

We now can offer frozen meat. We can also offer butter, milk, eggs, and cheese, when available to us.

We offer toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, and toilet paper.

We offer fresh produce and bread.

 To Receive Food:

  • Attend one of our food distribution Saturdays at Rejoice Lutheran Church.

    • Our current open hours are 12-2 pm on the 4th Saturday of each month. Calendar

    • It is less crowded from 12:45-1:30 pm.

    • Appointments can also be made in special circumstances. Please call our Pantry phone at 234-380-7402 and leave a message. Please do not call the church.

  • Bring with you your state ID and a piece of mail with your current address on it.

    • We are required by law to request address verification a minimum of once per year.

  • On distribution days, check in with our friendly, tablet-wielding volunteer, and then peruse our shelves.

    • Please feel free to take the items you feel you and your family can use.

    • We do not usually run out of anything, as we plan for more than we serve.

  • If you have an emergency situation, please call 234-380-7402 and leave a message or send an email to hcsapantryteam@gmail.com. Our volunteer will get back to you very quickly, and arrangements can be made to provide emergency food to you.
